Curbside FAQs


Austin Public Library Shop is offering Curbside Pick up Service at Central Library as a way to provide a safe shopping experience during these unprecedented times. Shipping is not currently available.

  • November 26-27
  • December 24-25
  • January 1

Are you offering Curbside services at other APL branches?

At this time, we are only offering curbside services at Central Library.

I just placed an order online, when can I come pick it up?

Please wait for us to notify you that your order is ready. Order processing takes 3-5 business days. Orders placed from 5:30 pm on Friday through Sunday will be processed the following week.

Though the online store will remain open, curbside will be closed on the following City Holidays: November 26-27, December 24-25, January 1.

Can I send someone to pick up my order?

Yes, they will need to know your order #, and the name on the order. 

How long will you hold my order?

After you are notified that your order is ready, we will hold your order for two business weeks, then we will process a refund. Please notify us if you are unable to pick up your order within that time frame.

How does curbside work?

Once you have received notification that your order is ready, follow these steps for easy curbside pick up:

1. Head to Austin Central Library. Park in the Central Library garage (located on West Ave.). Take the 2nd Street elevator or stairs to the main entrance doors on 2nd Street.

2. Call the APL Shop at: (512) 974-9676. Staff will ask for your order #, and the name on the order.

3. Maintain 6’ distance from other customers and staff. Give us a moment and we will bring out your order.
