Curbside FAQs


Austin Public Library Shop is offering Curbside Pick up Service at Central Library as a way to provide a safe shopping experience during these unprecedented times. Shipping is not currently available.

I just placed an order online, when can I pick it up?

You will receive notification when your order is ready; current processing time is 1-3 business days. Orders placed from 6 pm on Friday through Sunday will be processed the following week.

If you haven't received a notification within 3 business days, please be sure to check your spam folder or give us an email at libraryshop@austintexas.gov

Are you offering Curbside services at other APL branches?

At this time, we are only offering curbside services at Central Library.

Can I send someone to pick up my order?

Yes, they will need to know your order #, and the name on the order. 

How does curbside work?

Once you have received notification that your order is ready, follow these steps for easy curbside pick up:

1. Head to Austin Central Library. Park in the Central Library garage (located on West Ave.). Take the 2nd Street elevator or stairs to the main entrance doors on 2nd Street.

2. Call the APL Shop at: (512) 974-9676. Staff will ask for your order #, and the name on the order.

3. Maintain 6’ distance from other customers and staff. Give us a moment and we will bring your order to the pick up table.
